Reading time ~1 minute

I couldn’t get enough of Animals by The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger this week; it’s another of Spotify’s personalised Discover Weekly playlist entries that grabbed me and wouldn’t let go.

I revisited the pure comic genius that is Jonathan Coulton with his compilation album JoCo Looks Back whilst rocking out hard with Sepultura’s tribal-tastic Roots metal.

Being stuck and ever so slightly hungover on a bus back from Windsor I also got to listen through Plan B’s The Defamation of Strickland Banks album which, to this day, never gets old. I don’t know how he managed to combined soulful big band style melodies with grimy rap but it bloody well works.

Finally, one that will appear again and again here, Jack Off Jill’s Clear Hearts Grey Flowers; a gothic punky blast for when your angry, tired or, well no just angry.
